Chopin and Shostakovich are central to Yulianna Avdeeva‘s background. Rised to international fame by winning the 2010 Chopin Competition – the first woman to do it since Martha Argerich in 1965 – for her Lingotto Musica debut on Friday, February 5th, Avdeeva will perform a selection of Shostakovich’s 24 Preludes and Fugues, Op. 87, which she recorded for Pentatone in 2025. The second half of the program features Chopin’s 12 Études, Op. 25.
