The 2024-2025 Lingotto Musica Season has been unveiled: a program of 13 concerts from October 18th to May 20th featuring renowned ensembles, world-class conductors, and acclaimed soloists, marking a new chapter in the organization’s 30-year history.
The first sign of change is the new logo that encompasses the identity of Lingotto Musica, projecting it into the future with an elegant and modern design: the parabolic curve of the Pista 500, a symbol of Turin’s industrial avant-garde, intertwines with the orchestral amphitheater that surrounds the conductor’s podium, inscribing itself in an ideal eight. A clean and dynamic graphic, designed to enhance the organization’s recognizability and underline the centrality of “I Concerti del Lingotto”.
The heart of the new Season remains the eight events at the Giovanni Agnelli Auditorium. A varied artistic journey, featuring performers so different in age, origin and chosen field, who will tackle the most original and sophisticated repertoires – from the great Romantic symphonies to the European 20th century, from the Baroque universe of Bach to the fertile interweavings of American music – in programs that combine the familiarity of the most beloved classics with the exciting discovery of rarely performed works.
Protagonists include Sir Antonio Pappano and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia with Myung-Whun Chung, Alan Gilbert and the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo with Charles Dutoit, joined by the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra conducted by Ton Koopman, the Camerata Salzburg, Les Musiciens du Louvre conducted by Marc Minkowski, and prestigious soloists such as pianists Martha Argerich, Grigory Sokolov, Yefim Bronfman, Hélène Grimaud, Bertrand Chamayou, and violinist Sergey Khachatryan.
The real novelty this year is the birth of a new series, I Pianisti del Lingotto, which will welcome some of the best classical pianists in the more intimate atmosphere of Sala 500, with a range of proposals that span the epochs and styles of the keyboard literature from the Baroque to the present day. Five great artists – Angela Hewitt, Fazil Say, Leif Ove Andsnes, Rafał Blechacz e Alexandra Dovgan – who add to the firmament of stars that illuminate the Lingotto Musica program, offering new and multiple opportunities for unique emotions.
In addition to the main program, there are also outreach activities that Lingotto Musica carries out in iconic locations in the city and beyond: from the Natale in Reggia series, hosted from December 27th to 30th at Venaria Reale, to Sotto lo stesso cielo. La musica che include, a new widespread project in co-production with Fondazione Sermig – Arsenale della Pace, which will be held from October 11th to 13th.
