For over twenty-five years, Fazıl Say has been thrilling audiences with performances that go straight to the heart. During a visit in Ankara in 1986, the composer Aribert Reimann commented: “You have to hear him, this boy plays the piano like the devil!”. Unrestrained and multifaceted talent, Say established himself thanks to his eccentric way of interpreting the classics and a rare sensitivity for every genre, that soon led him to composition. For his first recital at the Sala 500, on the border between jazz, romantic piano and folklore, he explores Schubert’s last Sonata, the Mozartian K. 331 with its famous Turkish Rondo and his own work born during the pandemic.
