This morning saw the presentation of the Lingotto Musica 2025-2026 Season: a rich and diverse program that moves between highly anticipated debuts and the return of some of the audience’s most beloved performers. The central pillar of the artistic proposal remains the Concerti del Lingotto series, alongside which, after its successful debut, is the Pianisti del Lingotto series. This completes the symphonic programming by offering the public an additional listening space dedicated to the great keyboard repertoire. Anne-Sophie Mutter, Zubin Mehta, Grigory Sokolov, Maria João Pires, Igor Levit are just some of the names that demonstrate the richness of this season, not forgetting a special project by and with Alessandro Baricco that marks an opening to narrative languages that broaden the spectrum of our offerings.
The Concerti del Lingotto series
The heart of Lingotto Musica’s schedule is the Concerti del Lingotto series, which consists of 8 unique evening events from October 2, 2025, to May 22, 2026, at the Auditorium Giovanni Agnelli. The program includes the play Thucydides. Athens versus Melos, written and directed by Alessandro Baricco, featuring actresses Stefania Rocca and Valeria Solarino; a piano recital with Grigory Sokolov; a sacred masterpiece like Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater entrusted to Accademia Bizantina under Ottavio Dantone; and five symphonic concerts featuring the seasonal returns of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Vasily Petrenko, the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia conducted by Manfred Honeck, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen with Riccardo Minasi, and the CAMERATA Salzburg with Giovanni Guzzo, as well as the debut of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra with Zubin Mehta. Among the soloists, the presence of pianists Maria João Pires, Beatrice Rana, and Simon Trpčeski stands out. Exceptional protagonists also include violinists Anne-Sophie Mutter and Alessandro Tampieri, cellist Giovanni Sollima, and the 100 Cellos led by Enrico Melozzi. Finally, there will be a focus on great voices with soprano Suzanne Jerosme and contralto Delphine Galou.
The Pianisti del Lingotto series
Following the success of its first edition, the Pianisti del Lingotto series returns. This chamber cycle dedicated to solo piano recitals presents 5 dates from November 18, 2025, to April 7, 2026, in Sala 500. Esteemed virtuosos of all ages and repertoire preferences – Nelson Goerner, Angela Hewitt, Igor Levit, Marie-Ange Nguci, and Alexander Romanovsky – will participate in an “Olympiad” that traces the evolution of taste and interpretation in keyboard literature from the Baroque to the 20th century.
Lingotto Musica OFF
In addition to the main program, Lingotto Musica extends its cultural presence in the territory with a lively constellation of activities gathered under the label Lingotto Musica OFF: 10 chamber concerts with young ensembles and soloists, as well as established artists, who bring classical music outside the usual spaces of the Lingotto, to iconic locations in Turin and beyond. These range from events included in the “A Summer at the Museum” series promoted by the Museo Archivio Reale Mutua in the Courtyard of Palazzo Biandrate Aldobrandino di San Giorgio from July 3 to 17, 2025, to dates proposed in the Piazza of Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile from September 24 to 26, 2025, up to the “Christmas in Music” cycle hosted in the magnificent setting of the Church of St. Humbert in the Reggia di Venaria from December 27 to 30, 2025.
