Leif Ove Andsnes’ concerts are like a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of the clear, crystalline atmosphere of Scandinavian landscapes. Norwegian, born in 1970, with an incredibly rich career – boasting eleven Grammy nominations and seven Gramophone Awards – Andsnes is a true master of touch who combines the classics of the 19th century with scents from the deep North. His homage to his compatriot Grieg with his youthful Sonata op. 7 joins the Bohemian melodies from Janáček’s cycle On an Overgrown Path and the beloved Chopin of the famous 24 Preludes op. 28 in his recital at the Lingotto, where he has been missing since 2019.
