Maria João Pires finished her 40-years historic career in 2018 but occasionally brings her magnificent art back to the stage. For the third time at Lingotto after her concerts in 2001 and 2015, the Portuguese pianist joins the CAMERATA Salzburg on the day marking the 270th anniversary of Mozart’s birth. The program is dedicated to 1791, the year of his death, with Piano Concerto No. 27 and a selection of Mozart’s Minuets framed by Haydn’s L’anima del filosofo Overture and Schubert’s youthful Fifth Symphony.
