Bach has always been the favorite composer of Angela Hewitt, the undisputed queen of piano who has dedicated to the Leipzig Cantor many concerts, recordings and projects throughout her great career. The Canadian pianist returns to Sala 500 after her successful debut in March 2025 with the Goldberg Variations offering an interplay between some pieces figuring at the top of her personal Bach playlist: the Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue, the Italian Concerto and the French Suite in G major.
